Jeannette & Peter’s autumn wedding

Jeannette and Peter envisioned an autumn wedding at their weekend home in the Hudson Valley – their getaway from all the New York hustle.  A perfect autumn day started early as friends and family began arriving at the train station and were shuttled over to their mountaintop retreat.  Joann Provenzano, the event planner, was a dream to work with – everything ran smoothly, even down to her husband running the complicated shuttle bus schedules!  A beautiful ceremony was held on the side lawn with the views of the Hudson Valley and changing leaves spread out below.  Then I led a great and wonderfully willing bridal party into the woods where I took one of my favorite groomsman photos deep in the sunlit ferns.  Jeannette changed into a beautiful red Chinese qi pao that she had custom made in Chinatown for the reception.  Peter changed his tie to one made out of the same material used in Jeannette’s qi pao – absolutely stunning!  And oh wait – I can’t forget to mention the pb&j sandwiches that were on every table!  The tent was a vision of perfect autumn elegance with that little additional twist of pb&j that just makes it a memorable event!
