Valentine’s Day weddings! What a romantic day to be married, especially on a warm sunny winter’s day in Tucson, Arizona. I met Jane and Erin at another wedding I photographed last fall, Nico and Tristen’s wedding. A fun day with a fabulous couple – but this time, Nico was the officiant instead of the groom! And he happened to do an amazing job as an officiant. Jane and Erin have been together for years and years now – from meeting at a rock climbing wall, to medical school, firefighting academy, and now a beautiful winter wedding. The rustic desert setting at Stardance Event Center in Marana was perfectly complimented by eucalyptus leaves, red berries with crimson, sage and silver accents. All of the bridesmaids were given matching heart pajamas and slippers to relax in before the wedding and Jane wore her mother’s vintage wedding veil from the 1960’s for the ceremony. A beautiful assortment of glassware was accompanied by wooden hearts for each guest to drink from during the evening and then take home as a wedding favor. And the cake – I just loved this simple and pretty 3 tier cake with cactus iced decor. This especially beautiful Valentine’s day was finished up with a stunning red sunset that lasted only a few minutes, but drew all the guests outside to enjoy it. Jane and Erin were awesome to work with – they loved every spot I took them too at Stardance’s amazing desert location and were one of those couples were actually seemed to be sad when the photo session and sunset was over and the party had to begin!
