What do you do when you are getting married at a venue that is in the middle of a village with not a lot of outdoor space? Well if you are creative thinkers like Bobby and Kristen, you rent a barn down the street and bus your entire bridal party to the barn for photos. Which is exactly what they did. And it was much appreciated by me since the barn was beautiful! Kristen and Bobby had so many perfect details that the incorporated into their wedding that I could go on for hours listing them. But two things that really stood out for me where the hand made cake topper that was a perfect replica of Bobby and Kristen, complete with Bobby’s Met’s hat and the lacey detail on Kristen’s dress. And the baby’s breath bouquets. I have never been a big fan of baby’s breath – it’s usually just a filler in a bunch of roses. But I have NEVER seen an entire bouquet done of baby’s breath and I absolutely fell in love with these bridesmaid bouquets. Delicate and wrapped in straw, I love love love these bouquets!
I started out the day in Staten Island for the wedding ceremony at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, then crossed over to Jersey to the historic Cranberry Inn for the reception. I’m not going to go on for hours about the lobster tail and filet mignon we dined on that night, but it really was mouthwatering delicious and I am still thinking about that wonderful meal. This was one amazing party – I think that at one point, only 2 of the 250 people here were not on the dance floor. Jersey Shore band, Man Down played some of the best classic party music I have ever heard – If you are at the Jersey Shore this summer, you have to check them out! They are Jersey shore regulars at Jenks and a few other places.
