“My dear, How can I be more loving to you: How can I be more kind?” by Hafiz
Lauren and Todd brought bright Mexican colors and an eclectic mix of friends and family to Agua Linda Farm in Amado for their beautiful desert wedding day. Friends came from all over South America, Mexico and across the United States to Arizona for this joyous day. The late afternoon ceremony was filled with poetry and readings in both English and Spanish. Low key and untraditional, the day was filled with blessings from friends along with tons of dancing and celebration. Todd dealt well with my insistence on getting a few photos of them alone on this beautiful farm before releasing them to their friends and the party. The gorgeous display of 5 different wedding cakes were decadent flavors of lemon cake topped with with almond buttercream, lemon curd, and raspberry jam; vanilla cake layered with dark chocolate cake and topped with salted caramel Swiss buttercream; and Mexican hot chocolate cake with red chile chocolate ganache buttercream. Oh Yumm! Most wedding cakes are beautiful to look at, but sit slightly ignored after being cut. These cakes had lines formed with guests clamoring for more cake….it just couldn’t be cut fast enough.
