Hudson Valley Fall Engagement Photos with Kristen, Bobby and Bailey

Kristen sent me this awesome email about a year ago – did I still travel back to NY to shoot weddings?  You bet I do!  I can’t even imagine what it was like years ago trying to book a New York wedding photographer who’s sitting out the winter in the Arizona sunshine, to photograph your New Jersey wedding.  But in today’s world of the internet and Skype, it’s really easy!  On the other hand, trying to find a good time to shoot Kristen and Bobby’s engagement photos proved to be a little difficult, and they had to travel all the way from Staten Island to the Hudson Valley to meet up with me since I had a full weekend shooting schedule.  But I think it was worth it!  A possibly rainy day turned out to be pretty nice after all.  Bailey, their golden lab, of course won’t be allowed into the church at their wedding next summer so Kristen and Bobby were determined to have him in their engagement photos.  Even though Bailey doesn’t seem to like car rides, he was a perfectly happy dog once out of the car.  And he evidently likes posing for pictures.  We all had a fun time walking (running?) around and enjoying the autumn colors – are the leaves turning early this year or what?  It was so nice to finally meet you Kristen and Bobby – after nearly a year of exchanging emails back and forth!  I’m excited to see you again at your June wedding….
