The roses and gladiolus were in full bloom and in a stunning array of colors….this doesn’t sound like the start to a blog post about a desert wedding. But May at Agua Linda Farm in Amado is a magical time. The garden looked magnificent and the weather isn’t hot just yet. Erika and Dan brought a lot of their own personalities to their magical farm wedding day. My first Pinterest groom – yes Dan is a pinner and he also handmade the boutonnieres for the groomsmen. And I have to say that he did a great job. This ‘anything outdoor and adventurous’ couple incorporated rock climbing ropes, a carabiner for the rings (a word I cannot pronounce no matter how many times I say it), prickly pear margaritas and home brewed beer, Murphy the dog, Chaco hiking sandles (Erika said no way was she wearing shoes that hurt her feet!), and succulents in the bouquets into a self-described country-bumpkin theme. This was the first time I’ve worked with Rincon Market as the caterer, but I really do hope it’s the first of many to come – the food was delicious! Stewart and Laurel Lowe – you have such an amazing piece of paradise in the desert – I get excited every time I get booked for an Agua Linda Farm wedding. I am never disappointed!
