Sam and Ryan + Tucson Engagement Photos

I think Ryan had a little bit of dread of his and Sam’s engagement session.  He seemed to think it would be hours and hours of hard work and being contorted into unnatural weird poses.  I think about 5 minutes in, he kinda figured out it wasn’t going to be like that – ‘that’s...

Jennifer and Joshua + Cayton’s at The Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain + Tucson Wedding

Jennifer and Josh met during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Not usually the recommended way to meet your new husband. Especially when you are in medical school in New York and he is a Navy pilot stationed in Texas. But wow did it work! So now we had New York and Texas, plus a entire plane full of Canadians all descend on the Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain for a very special wedding. Which is something that April Thompson and the rest of the amazing staff at the Ritz Carlton are used to and handle with complete ease. Cayton’s, the restaurant at the golf club at Dove Mountain is a hidden gem of a wedding venue. The spectacular stonework, outdoor patios, soaring ceilings and desert backdrop makes for enchanting evenings. The firepit blazed all night long and the evening actually ended with a guitar accompanied sing-along around the firepit.

Jessica and Billy + University of Arizona + Tucson Engagement

Jessica and Billy met while at the UofA and actually got engaged on University Ave.  So they had no hesitation naming the place when I asked if they had any idea where they’d like to do their engagement photos.  A no brainer!  We wandered around the University of Arizona campus stopping at different spots that...

Tucson Lifestyle Featured Wedding

Abby and Ben’s wedding is featured in this month’s (May) issue of Tucson Lifestyle Magazine.  I photographed this lovely Agua Linda Farm wedding a few months back – Congrats Abby & Ben!

Summer and Jeff + Tucson Engagement Photos

I am not a good morning person.  As a matter a fact, I rarely ever see the morning.  But, I agreed to a very early morning engagement shoot as  both Summer and Jeff have very busy schedules (even finding a wedding date that worked for everybody was tough!).  So 7:30am found me up at...

Concetta & Manny + Tohono Chul Park + Tucson Wedding

One of the best things about Tohono Chul Park in Tucson is that there are a million places to take photos.  Once of the worst things about Tohono Chul Park is that there are a million places to take photos!  When it’s a wedding day and you have this enormous park with all the winding...

Tucson Engagement Shoot with Rachael & Scott

Even though I was already booked for their wedding date, Rachael and Scott still wanted me to shoot their engagement photos.  Which made me very happy, because they are an awesome couple who will soon be leaving Tucson for a new life in South Korea.  And there was another BIG plus for me in our...

A New Year, New Wedding at Westward Look Resort

I very quickly noticed that Adele and John love to travel!  Vintage suitcases and even a suitcase inspired wedding cake.  A honeymoon in Argentina.  Their guests had arrived from all over the world at Westward Look Resort in Tucson for a destination wedding weekend.  I heard there was a huge party at the resort the...

Mila – Tucson Family Photography

I first met Mila at Abby and Ben’s wedding last summer.  She was tiny and quiet – only a few months old.  I think she fell asleep right after the family photos.  Wow has she grown!  Eight months old and all smiles!  Erica and Josh are truely blessed – Mila is a joy.  She seemed...

It’s Wedding Album Season!

I love my wedding albums!  I photograph weddings all year long, but winter time is really my wedding album design time.  I get to relive the wedding day all over again and remember all the fun, silly and romantic times each couple had.  This really is the purpose of all these wedding albums.  Everyone...

Annalyn and Jason wed + Hacienda Del Sol + Tucson Wedding

A far from little storm called Hurricane Sandy couldn’t keep Jason from making it to Tucson from NYC for his wedding day.  And although I didn’t show it, I admit I was more than a bit worried in the days before their wedding.  NY airports were closed and roads were flooded.  And even if you...

Rustic Burlap and Lace Wedding + Agua Linda Farm + Abby & Ben

I had such a great time shooting Abby and Ben’s engagement session back in the spring – I just KNEW that their wedding day was going to be amazing in every way.  Agua Linda Farm in Amado, Arizona was the setting – if you’ve been reading my blog for awhile you already know how...

Winter Wonderland Wedding + Hudson Valley Wedding

Imagine having your brand new Christian Louboutin shoes for your wedding day, and then also having your great-grandmother’s wedding shoes right next to them.  Yours are brand new, hers are well worn.  The scuffed heels and worn leather tell an incredible story.  A holiday wedding is always a joy – fun and festive with the...

Tucson Arizona Wedding + Rachel and Stan + Reflections at the Buttes

Lemons, yellow matchbooks, white daisy’s and grey chuck’s.  A Polaroid photobook and a handmade katubah.  Lots if children, family and sunshine.  Rachel and Stan were married on a crisp autumn day in the bright Arizona sunshine.  Which perfectly matched the yellow in their wedding colors.  A sweet and simple ceremony at Relections at the Buttes...

A Tucson Desert Wedding with Bianca and Jon + Saguaro Buttes

The dress, the dress, the dress!  Okay, so a wedding really isn’t all about the dress, but sometimes – oh wow the dress!  Bianca’s dad cried when he saw her in her dress.  It was that kind of day.  Romantic and sweet, with a wonderful crowd of family and friends who truly care for these...

A Tucson Wedding + Laura and Jessie + Westward Look Resort

Jesse on his wedding day was about as excited as a groom can get.  Bouncing as he walked, excited and so happy to see Laura for their pre-ceremony first look.  We took a walk over to the Hummingbird Gardens at Westward Look Resort, that kinda turned out to be a hike (since I was having...

The Un-desert Engagement Photos….

Jill did not want the desert in her engagement photos – or any cactus anywhere for that matter!  We kinda went back and forth about locations for her and Jeff’s engagement shoot and Mt Lemmon just seemed to have all the answers.  The weather was perfect, the leaves were turning – a kinda classic...

Tucson Engagement Photos with Anita and Jacob

Anita and Jacob are from New Jersey and somehow ended up moving to Tucson for work right at the beginning of the summer.  Eternally cheerful, they keep insisting that ‘it’s not really that hot here’.  I’m not buying it.   Although they still are planning on having their summertime wedding back in New Jersey and...

Cousins – plus 10 more….Dutchess County family photography

I photographed Kristin, Hunter and Ben just a few months ago with Hunter’s side of the family.  This is round 2 – but this time with Kristin’s side of the family.  We all headed to Yellow Frame Farm in Millbrook – an absolutely beautiful private farm with huge barns, pastures, a meandering stream, and horses. ...
