Megan and Carson + Kartchner Caverns Wedding + Tucson Wedding

Converse sneakers, a food truck, cactus decorated cupcakes, a park whose name I mispronounce no matter how many times I say it. Megan and Carson’s wedding was a total reflection of their unique personalities. Young, fun and out of the box. I LOVED the cupcakes decorated with frosting cacti – it was actually very hard to bite into them and destroy this marvelous display! Amy Bacon and her team from Celebrations by Amy Bacon did a great job keeping everyone rounded up and getting where they needed to be in the vast park at Kartchner Caverns. A DIY taco bar from The Rolling Chef food truck in Tucson and dancing to music from Tony Pacheco of Desert DJ’s kept the party going far into the night!

Tera and Nathan + Engagement Photos in Tucson + Downtown Tucson

One of the coolest things about downtown Tucson is the ever changing murals and scenery. One day you’re there and you see this awesome mural, then you go back next week and it’s gone. But there’s an even better one in it’s place! With the streetcar coming soon, Tucson is growing and new restaurants and cool spots are opening everywhere

Amy and David + Engagement Photos in Tucson + The Barrio

I always say that some of my best clients come from referrals – nice people seem to have nice friends :). So when I heard from Amy and David that their friends Sam and Ryan (Wedding coming in April!) had referred me to them, I couldn’t have been happier. And to add to that happiness, engagement shoots are one of my favorites. I would be very content just shooting engagement sessions all day long. Engagement photos in Tucson Arizona, Tohono Chul Park and the Barrio

Regina and Adam + Wedding at Glen Island + Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer

But gaming and Nintendo World was not anywhere near this winter white elegant wedding at the Glen Island Harbour Club in Westchester, New York. Calla lillies and candles everywhere set the ambiance for the romantic evening ceremony. Guests ended their evening of dinner and dancing with a candy bar and hot pretzels right off the coals. A fantastic way to warm back up as we headed out into the frosty evening!

Jessica and Billy + Wedding at Tanque Verde Ranch + Wedding in Tucson

Tanque Verde Ranch is a place of enormous blue skies, mountains and horses horses everywhere. Jessica and Billy met at the University of Arizona as students and eight years later were married at Tanque Verde Ranch on a sun filled November day. People say October is the most popular wedding month, but I really like the cooler weather in November weddings!

Jill and Jeff + Stillwell House Wedding + Tucson Wedding Photographer

After getting ready at Marriot Starr Pass Resort, Jill and Jeff did a first look and some quick photos before their wedding ceremony at Stillwell House in Tucson. Some more photos with tons of family and friends before a delicious dinner and a night of dancing under the stars in the outdoor courtyard. This wonderful night ended with a sparkler exit and then the 1st Tucson rain since the monsoon. In the desert, this is a great way to end a wedding!

Ashley and Carlos + Loews Ventana Canyon Wedding + Tucson Wedding Photographer

Ashley has an amazing sense of style that took me back to the days of Great Gatsby with her lace cloche hat. It was the first time I’ve seen one this year and I really do love firsts! She changed into a birdcage veil with the help of the fabulous Margarita GoDiva for the stylish reception in the Kiva Ballroom at Loews Ventana Canyon, completing a look that went from the 1920’s to a very modern 2013. Ashley and Carlos’s elegant desert wedding was held at St Thomas the Apostle. The full mass was followed by an evening reception at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Arizona.

Alyssa and Joshua + Catlin Gardens Wedding + Hudson Valley Wedding Photography

Alyssa and Josh had a beautiful fall wedding at Catlin Gardens in the Hudson Valley, New York. Rain was what everyone was talking about that morning, but Alyssa just said, no, I don’t see any rain. And there was none. The leaves were changing colors right before us – brilliant yellows, oranges and reds. It was a perfect way to end up my fall season of shooting Hudson Valley wedding

Danielle and Adam + Bard College + Hudson Valley Engagement Photos

Meeting Danielle and Adam was the 1st part in my latest 3 week trip to new york, and it was a great way to start off the trip. They are fun, love each other and love to have their photos taken – I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in June. Stay tuned for more to come as I catch up on 3 amazing weeks of shooting weddings in the Hudson Valley!

Summer and Jeff + Agua Linda Farm Wedding + Tucson Wedding

Summer and Jeff were married at Agua Linda Farm in Amado, Arizona at that golden hour of the day just before sunset. Everything just turns gold and brillant – the most beautiful light of the day. The spring flowers were gone, but replaced by tall grasses and cornfields. I’m still finding it a little surreal that I was photographing a couple on their wedding day in a cornfield in Arizona.

Anita and Jacob + Olde Mill Inn + New Jersey Wedding

I met Anita and Jacob in Tucson, where they lived (at the time) and we had a great time doing their engagement photos in the desert with their little dog, Woffie.  The wedding was planned for New Jersey, where their families live, so this was an easy hop skip and jump for me, especially in...

Cassie and Art + Westward Look Resort Wedding + Tucson Wedding Photography

Call me lucky, or just tell me I haven’t been in Tucson long enough. But although I’ve worked a few weddings when the monsoon was here, I haven’t had it hit during a ceremony yet. And Cassie and Art’s wedding was no exception. The day started out gorgeous. And HOT. 112 or so they say. But beautiful skies and later in the day was warm but pleasant. The clouds caught up with us just as the ceremony was finished and gave everyone enough time to enjoy the views before ducking inside.

Lucette and Enrique + Westin LaPaloma Wedding + Tucson Wedding

A beautiful traditional Spanish evening mass at Saint Augustine Cathedral, a gorgeous bride who cried every time she saw her father, white calla lilies, 8 grandparents attending (yes 8!). Family was so important to this gorgeous couple as was evident by over 100 guests traveling from Mexico to the Westin LaPaloma in Tucson to take part in this wonderful wedding day.

Kristen and Robert + The Cranberry Inn + New Jersey Wedding

What do you do when you are getting married at a venue that is in the middle of a village with not a lot of outdoor space?  Well if you are creative thinkers like Bobby and Kristen, you rent a barn down the street and bus your entire bridal party to the barn for photos. ...

Jessica and Scott + Hudson Valley Engagement Photos

Jessica and Scott are getting married on a farm this fall in the Hudson Valley.  Since the farm would be full of grass and fields, Jessica didn’t want to do her engagement photos in the usual places.  She wanted some photos that had lots of bricks and a more urban feel – something that would...

Erika and Dan + Agua Linda Farm Wedding + Tucson Wedding

The roses and gladiolus were in full bloom and in a stunning array of colors….this doesn’t sound like the start to a blog post about a desert wedding.  But May at Agua Linda Farm in Amado is a magical time.  The garden looked magnificent and the weather isn’t hot just yet.  Erika and Dan brought...

Alexandra and Ryan + Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain Wedding + Tucson Wedding

I think that Monique Lhuillier has to be my favorite wedding dress designer.  Whenever I see a Monique Lhuillier dress, I just die a little inside….they are so amazingly beautiful.  Alex’s dress was a two piece and the bustier was so intricate that I could have photographed it all alone for an hour if I...
