I met Anita and Jacob in Tucson, where they lived (at the time) and we had a great time doing their engagement photos in the desert with their little dog, Woffie. The wedding was planned for New Jersey, where their families live, so this was an easy hop skip and jump for me, especially in the August heat of Tucson! Now if you can follow this, by the time August rolled around, Anita and Jacob had given up battling the scorpions and javalina and moved to Georgia. So a couple from Georgia, a photographer from Tucson, and guests from everywhere in the world including India, all converged on New Jersey for a gorgeous summer time wedding. St Mary’s in Dover, New Jersey was one of the prettiest churches I have worked in – absolutely stunning! And for a couple who had been together for 9 years after 1st meeting in college, everything finally clicked into place on this day. A very patient bridal party, funny parents, bright vivid colors, and the 1st grass I had seen in two months. And in the midst of all this, we somehow managed to get 3 very large group photos out of the gathered 175 guests. My compliments to the mom’s – I don’t see that managed that easily very often! And a very Big thanks for Cheryl Bolton Reuter for her 2nd shooting and extra hard work on this beautiful day.
