A small intimate ceremony for Ally and Alex was planned for a few days before the big party up at Mountain View Country Club. The ceremony was attended by just 12 close family members and 15 deer that just happened to wander by at just the right moment. Deer in your wedding photos – how many weddings blessings does that rain down on you? I’m at over 300 weddings photographed, but these were my first deer in wedding photos! Rain was lightly sprinkling off and on during the ceremony, which gave my first wedding of June a gorgeous 80 degree day when we had all expected 100’s. The big party was two days later at Tohono Chul Park – a delightful evening in the bistro garden. We almost had a photographer steps on a large rattlesnake moment here, but luckily Alex did a heroic groom move and averted disaster. Rain, deer, rattlesnakes, it might all sound like a lot to handle, but Alex and Ally found fun in every moment and brought the true sense of a magical wedding to what will be a fun and adventurous marriage journey I’m sure.
