Jen & Kevin were married in 2008 and they were the coolest couple ever on their wedding day – we went to Mahoneys Bar in Poughkeepsie and I took some incredible photos of them up on the bar – the place they had 1st met. 2 years later – Jen was still talking about doing an after the wedding portrait shoot – the hardest part was coming up with a time that worked for all of us. Finally, the end of this October and it all worked out. I had heard about these old abandoned trains and always wanted to do some photos there – this was the perfect couple for this! (thanks to my bud Steve Planck for the info on the trains!) Jen was amazing – these trains were DIRTY, but she got right down and into it. Def no place to go on your actual wedding day for photos. Dirt, grime, graffiti – I LOVE urban style photography. We had a great time walking in and around the old abandoned cars, and then headed for the water shot Jen had always wanted. This is not the time of year to do water photos – the water was about 40ish degrees! Jen is a big planner though and brought a wet suit to wear under her wedding dress. Kevin unfortunately, didn’t have a wet suit, but did it for Love :). I really can’t understand why everyone doesn’t do this kind of photo shoot. It was fun, we took our time hanging out, and I got some amazing photos that I can’t wait to add to my studio walls!
